Useful Information
From Edinburgh to Staffa Garden Flat is approximately 150 miles and will take you 2 ½ to 3 hours, depending on road traffic conditions.
From Edinburgh, follow the M9 to Stirling. From Stirling, follow the A84, through Callander and Lochearnhead. After Lochearnhead take the A85 sigriposted for Crianlarich/Oban. Follow signs to Oban.
From Glasgow to Staffa Garden Flat is approximately 100 miles and will take you approximately 2 to 2 ½ hours, depending on road traffic conditions.
From England; take M6 all the way to Scotland. M6 becomes M74 signposted GLASGOW.
On approaching Glasgow follow signs for M8 and CITY CENTRE.
DO NOT FOLLOW FOR CITY CENTRE EAST
Stay on M8 - If travelling from Glasgow Airport, join in here.
After Glasgow, at JUNCTION 30 follow signs for ERSKINE BRIDGE (M898).
Over bridge, follow sign: CRIANLARICH, LOCH LOMOND, NORTH. Road A82.
At Tarbet, choice of continuing on
i) A82 Crianlarich (take A82 to Tyndrum then A85 signposted OBAN) OR
ii) A83 Inveraray. (take A85 signposted OBAN)
Both Crianlarich and Inveraray routes join at A85. Continue on A85 to Connel.
For Staffa Garden Flat from Connel Go through Connel until you see Connel Bridge (a metal suspension bridge over the mouth of Loch Etive on your right hand side).
Go under bridge turn sharply to your left and immediately take second left signposted FORT WILLIAM.
For Staffa Garden Flat from Oban Take A85 North from Oban following signs for FORT WILLIAM. Before reaching Connel, take right hand turn at major intersection to FORT WILLIAM. Go over bridge and turn first right. Drive along the lochside on this road for 2 miles, follow the sign to Bonawe, at the bottom of the hill go over a single track bridge and turn left and Staffa is the first house on the right of Achnacreebeag farm road
